New Roles

What if we reimagine what the connection between technology and our world could be?

Our process is about asking "what if?"

Investigating, experimenting, and even "dreaming" in order to encourage thinking about how things could be, not just how they are, and thinking about the kind of world we would like to live in.

We need to speculate to disrupt the present, imagine how things could be and make room for more possibilities.

Room for More Possibilities is about unlocking inventive potential of our relationship with technology, to inspire new emotional links between people and brands.

Room for More Possibilities is an Invention Design process and talent unit.

1

design inventions* to expand possibilities for how brand stories are told and experienced

2

invent new forms of 'story-making'

3

identify possibilities of new emotional links between people and brands

*

Invention today is not about making life more automated but about inspiring new behaviors and new forms of inhabiting technology with our humanity.

4

develop brands' invention platforms

5

develop invention strategies and propoals

6

design invention prototypes

Our invention proposal organizes design investigation through four key elements:

why

Identifies opportunity of cultural intervention for the brand.

context

Investigates human tactics and tools of cultural disobedience.

what if?

Invites new human goals and values.

invention metaphor

Activates power of objects to invite new behaviors and sensibilities, inspiring new emotional links between people and the brand. Informs Invention Platform.

Brands are more than stories. Brands are invention platforms. Inventions are new doors to brand stories.

The Biggest cultural advantage we can give a brand is the future. Inventions make the future happen faster.

Invention Design imagines new form factors and interactions, to invite us into more alternatives and possibilities, making future tangible.

These invention proposals are interested in establishing emotional links between people and new technology, not to make our lives more automated but to help us be better at being human. Invention Design is opposite to affirmative design: design that reinforces how the things are.

Invention Strategy sees the future as a possibility, not just a problem to be solved.

Invention Strategy translates the brand mission and vision of the future into tangible objects, products and experiences to inspire new emotional links between people and brands.

Invention Strategist

The Invention Strategist investigates curious states of our relationship with technology through deep empathy towards human goals and values.Invention strategy challenges narrow assumptions about the role products, brands and technology plays in our lives to identify those opportunities for cultural intervention for the brand.

Invention Designer

The Invention Designer probes opportunities for new forms of storymaking through the exploration of new form factors, capable of inspiring new behaviors, and engaging our imaginative collaboration. The Invention Designer is a rapid prototyper that can turn invention proposals into physical objects and experiences through sketches, storyboards and models, driving the development of invention proposal with imagination and ingenuity.

Poetic Technologist

The Poetic Technologist’s role is to re-imagine what the connection between technology and our world could be, merging the virtual and the physical in new ways. Poetic Technology goes beyond technological trends and proposes another vision of the future of our relationship with technology through tangible prototyping and imaginative creative technology skills.
